Our school group had a memorable experience at the Hatfield vs. McCoys show. It is a comedy with interjections of some serious clogging , amazing singing, and even some acrobatic feats, along with a satisfying family style meal. Don't expect a serious documentary about the tragic feud, and NO, they're not making light of that part of history... it's a well choreographed comedy! An important thing to know is that you should arrive at the show a good hour or more before showtime, to allow exploration of the outside barnyard critters and opportunities to get some photo memories with those cut out thingys with hillbilly images. As soon as the show starts the food service stops, which is a good idea so the crowd doesn't have to put up with roaming servers in mid-show. The food will not disappoint, unless you confess yourself to be a world class gourmet; excuse me Mr. Snooty, you're at a show with a hillbilly atmosphere , which is just fine with 99.9% of the crowd! The chicken breasts are genuine Southern -fried chicken, coupled with tangy pulled pork, unique but yummy cole slaw(I'm a self-confessed gourmet when it comes to slaw, and this version was awesome,) great yeast rolls, a chunk of sweet corn, smashed taters that I couldn't get enough of, a decent chocolate puddin', UNREAL veggie soup that should be served by the gallon, and your choice of drink served in a mason jar. CAN YOU TELL THAT YOU'RE IN THE SOUTH?? To convince you, get sweet tea for your drink! Very talented group of performers, the"mayor's daughter," was particularly strong in performance and easy on the eye. One spot found an older couple spoonin' near a sycamore tree and the gentleman leashed out a very pleasant singing voice. There is a lot of clogging, which was fine by me, along with athletic "feudin'," yodeling, pyrotechnics, an exploding outhouse, naturally, as well as the obligatory Rocky Top and patriotic salute, which again, as well with my soul! They even had audience participation time that involved in a "passing the spoon" competition between the Hatfield and McCoy clans. Things went smoothly until one particular jean-dressed guy had a heck of a time getting the spoon down his drawers, to the delight or amazement of the crowd. Uh, that dope would be me! Truthfully, I laughed almost as much as I did at the Comedy Barn, which, incidentally, you can get tix at a great discount, along with a similar deal for the Smoky Mountain Opry world-class show, as long as you purchase tickets initially for The Feud. You won't be disappointed with this show, unless you're that Mr. Snooty guy or from Cleveland(Had to get that in being that I'm a Steeler fan,)

Ok so I was hesitant to go to this one bc I had saw a previous year's DVD & it just didn't seem to suit my tastes. However, once we arrived, I quickly realized that I was wrong. I can honestly say I feel like this is the best dinner show in the Smokies!

We went here with friends. Everyone enjoyed the show and dinner. The performers are very talented and the show was very professionally done. There was some bluegrass music but not enough to be a musical treat too. More music would not fit into the performance so this is not a suggestion.

"Worth the trip-worth the price?"

We travel to Gatlinburg often and on this visit decided to go to a show. We bundled the Comedy Barn and Hatfield/McCoy Dinner Show. Through some additional negotiation we paid $150 for both shows. Arrive early for your show. Lines are long and weave through the lobby ending with the photo opp. The Hatfield/McCoy show's theater is tiered and expansive. First hint. See where your seats will be. We were two rows from the top. The meal is served till the show begins. Menu consists of fried chicken, pulled pork, slaw, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, rolls, drinks and dessert. The food is good and all you can eat. Hint. It is all you and eat before the show begins and if you can catch your server. The show was entertaining and offered a variety of acts. Time line. We arrived at 4:30 pm for the 5:30 show. We were served almost immediately. We exited the building by 6:40 pm. The next show began at 8 pm. Each adult ticket is about $50 each. Worth the trip-worth the price? You decide.

Really enjoyed this show. The food was wonderful and the show was very entertaining. You get to sit at a table and have buckets of food brought to you! Felt bad that we wasted food, but there was no way we could eat everything. They serve as soon as you are seated, so I highly recommend arriving there at the recommended time, I believe 45 minutes prior to show.
